Atipico announces its second hotel: Atipico Lisbon, opening in 2027
Lisbon, Jun 8, 2026: Following the opening of Atipico Madrid in Salamanca in 2025, Atipico is growing with the announcement of its second hotel: Atipico Lisbon, set to open in the Santos neighbourhood in 2027.
Marking the brand’s first arrival in Portugal, Atipico Lisbon will bring its warm, vintage-inspired approach to one of the city’s most characterful neighbourhoods. Known for its historic façades, tiled streets, lived-in textures and quiet details, Lisbon offers the perfect setting for a hotel concept shaped by local heritage, thoughtful design and a deeper sense of place.
The transformation of the property is already underway, with rooms set to be fully renewed ahead of the official launch. Once complete, Atipico Lisbon will blend vintage charm, contemporary comfort and a neighbourhood-first spirit, creating a stay that feels both unexpected and familiar.
As renovations continue, one of the hotel’s future common spaces is already open: Casa Aberta, a rooftop concept led by Ludovico Leopardi from Sidewalk Kitchens in Milan. Designed as a house above the city, Casa Aberta brings together food, drinks, music and pop-ups with some of Lisbon’s most exciting chefs and creative voices.
